Department of Architecture/ Heritage Club visit to Swami Vivekananda Memorial, Risaldar Galli Belgaum, sub-centre of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Fort, Belagavi.

Department of Architecture/ Nature Club conducted Nature’s Trail.

• The Nature’s trail gave insight of flora within KLS GIT campus.
• Documentation of trees in campus with respect to attributes such as scientific names, common names, local names, tree profile, flowering seasons, range habitat and uses was done by students under the guidance of Prof. Nishita Tadkodkar.
• The students studied the trees through photographic documentation and collected few samples.
• The students were introduced to book named “Trees of Delhi” by Pradip Krishen.
• It shall eventually help students in applying knowledge about trees in their Architectural Design studio projects.

Department of Architecture/ Music Club conducted Music Event on 24.12.2022.

• The Music Club initiation gave way to inculcate extracurricular activities in students
• Making Each one aware of the strength and weaknesses
• Provided stage courage and confidence to face audience
• Brought interaction across semesters

Photography club conducted an event in the Department of Architecture on 05th January 2023.

• The concept for this event was given as LIGHT. Light is a medium of hope, new beginnings, and new stories.
• The photography club competition explored for this new ray of Light in the photographs which were produced in the club event
• Faculty Co-ordinators were Prof.Amit Prasadi.Prof Jyoti Patil ,Prof Pavanika Patil ,Prof Rashmi Pai
• The Event was inaugurated by Ar. D M Oulkar.

Art and dance club conducted, a one – day Hands on workshop by Central village Pottery Institute Khanapur for Art and dance club students 80 students was participated in the workshop which was organized by the Department of architecture on 22nd December 2022.

• The workshop focused on exposing the students to Pottery making techniques as a part of learning Pottery making Art and hands on workshop for the students.
• It helped the students to establish the relation between art and architecture and gave practical knowledge about the Pottery making techniques as they made various small pottery in Architecture Department construction yard.
• The workshop focuses on the use of hand tools to create Clay making and moulding, shaping techniques with electric pottery wheel as well as hands to develop various forms and shapes.
• The workshop demonstrated the various forms in pottery, and various methods clay art.
• The workshop culminated to produce the various shapes using pottery techniques in our construction yard by the students work on hands-on lashing details.
• This workshop shall eventually help students establishing the relation between art and architecture in their Architectural Design studio projects.
