The Final year students of KLS GIT Department of Architecture Miss. Anuja Vernekar , Mr. Abhinandan Ballol , Miss. Lavanya Bevinkatti, Miss. Dhanashri Neelkanthanawar, Mr. Manunath Naik and Mr. Manoj Gowda R participated in the National level Heritage Awards 2019 for Excellence in documentation of unprotected Heritage organised by INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) and won Commendation Award for South Zone. The theme for the competition was Water and Heritage.
The students documented the step well along with the three ancient temples in Sudi Village in Gadag District built during Kalyani Chalukya period. Prof. Pratiksha Navelkar and Prof. Bharat Gouripur guided the students for this competition.
