SPACE TALK 2024
The Department of Architecture, KLS GIT organised a ‘Space Talk’ on Spatial Narratives: Timeless and Experientially Engaging Architecture by Ar. Yatin Pandya, Principal Architect Footprint E.A.R.T.H. Ahmedabad, on 26th April, at Silver Jubilee Auditorium.
Ar. Yatin Pandya dwelled on Understanding the phenomenon of space making : Principles of visual perceptions; Indian notions of time, space and existence; and kinaesthetic
perception; Space and emotions; Elements of space making. The session was insightful and attended by students and faculties.
SPACE TALK 2023
On the 20th of October 2023, an enlightening event titled “Space Talk” took place at S.J Auditorium in KLS Gogte Institute of Technology. The event featured Ar. Naresh Narasimhan as the keynote speaker and aimed to disseminate knowledge on designing spaces that harmonize with their surroundings.
Objectives of Conducting the program-
To Spread Awareness Through Design Spaces which Respond to the Surroundings.
Ar. Naresh Narasimhan’s talk touched upon several crucial aspects of architecture and design, including:
Contextual Design: The importance of understanding and integrating the local culture, climate, and environment into architectural creations.
Sustainability: The need for sustainable practices and eco-friendly materials in modern architecture to reduce the environmental footprint.
Design Innovation: Encouraging young minds to think creatively and embrace innovative design solutions for a more harmonious built environment.
The event provided an interactive platform where students could engage with Ar. Naresh Narasimhan. They had the opportunity to ask questions and seek guidance on architectural concepts, career prospects, and the future of sustainable design.

Chairman – Pramod Kathavi and other management members supported the department in organizing the event.
Principal –Dr.M S Patil and Head of the Department – Dr. Rupali Kavilkar along with the chief guest inaugurated the event.
The event was coordinated by Prof.Pavanika Patil, Prof.Prasad Kulkarni, Prof.Rashmi Pai, Prof. Omkar Vernekar, Ar. Rahul Pudale, Ar.Vinayak Mutgekar, Ar.Ishwari Desai.
The “Space Talk” by Ar. Naresh Narasimhan was a resounding success in its mission to spread awareness about design spaces that respond to their surroundings. The active participation of 350+ students from K.L.S Gogte Institute of Technology, Department of Architecture and various other colleges showcased their enthusiasm for the field of architecture and the growing importance of sustainable design principles.
The event left an indelible mark on the attendees, inspiring them to approach architectural design with a more profound understanding of their role in creating a more sustainable and harmonious world.
